Predictive Legal Analytics is a method for analyzing and evaluating large amounts of legally relevant data in order to make predictions. Machine and/or deep learning methods are often used for this purpose. Pattern recognition in court decisions in general or the recognition and the analysis of specific patterns in decisions of a particular court or judge is often cited as a use case in predictive legal analytics.
